The company advocates the notion of the scientific knowledge transfer for the sustainable development of off-shore industrial projects.
Scientists and industrial engineers perceive valuable reasons to go deep in the ocean. Still, the more we learn about the pelagic realm the more questions we have. Textbook information is no longer enough to get knowledge on environmental dynamics at and beneath the seafloor and in the water column, especially in the areas of active hydrocarbon seepage.
Neglecting fundamental geological, (bio)geochemical, and geo-ecological aspects can lead to disruption of well-planned industrial project developments and significant financial loss.
The EGU General Assembly 2016 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists, especially early career researchers, can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in all fields of geoscience. The EGU is looking forward to cordially welcoming you in Vienna.
We hereby invite you, from now until 18 Sep 2015, to take an active part in organizing the scientific programme of the conference. Please suggest (i) new sessions with conveners and description and (ii) modifications to the skeleton programme sessions. Explore the Programme Groups (PGs) above, when making suggestions. Study those sessions that already exist and put your proposal into the PG that is most closely aligned with the proposed session's subject area.
If the subject area of your proposal is strongly aligned with two or more PGs, co-organization is possible and encouraged between PGs. Only put your session proposal into one PG, and you will be able to indicate PGs that you believe should be approached for co-organization.
If you have questions about the appropriateness of a specific session topic, please contact the Officers for the specific EGU2016 Programme Group.
The company is committed to providing comprehensive multidisciplinary scientific answers for the deep sea exploration of biological energy, mineral resources as well as the installation of submarine communication cables or pipe-lines, considering the (bio)geochemical, geological and ecological characteristics of the intended area or location.
One of the spheres of the company’s expertise is the field of submarine seepage of hydrocarbons, specifically natural gas (methane).
PELAGIC FRONTIERS also works as an outsourced knowledge company having fifteen years of deep-sea research experience and a broad international network in the world of science and technology.
Additionally, the company provides services for the planning and design of multidisciplinary geological and geochemical marine surveys.
Knowledge and experience of PELAGIC FRONTIERS allows cooperating with:
